CanScan

This property indicates whether the current file supports scanning.

Parameters

  • bScan
    Boolean value specifying whether the current file supports scanning. If true, the file supports scanning. This property is read-only with no default value.

Remarks

If the value of this property is true, the current file can be scanned (fast-forwarded or fast-reversed), provided that the AllowScan property is set to true.

If a media file has not been selected for the Player, by setting the FileName property or calling the Open method, the value of this property will be false.

ASF files support scanning, but can only be scanned if the following conditions are all true:

  • The file is indexed.
  • The file is not being broadcast.

OS Versions: Windows CE 3.0 and later.
