NAME

Generates a debug-only string.

NAME(
  strLiteral
);

Parameters

  • strLiteral
    Text string, which must be in quotation marks.

Remarks

This macro is helpful for generating the debug name passed to many DirectShow class constructors. For more information about using that aspect of debugging, see Object Register Debugging. For example:

x = new CVideoRenderer(NAME("Sample Video Renderer"),pUnk,phr);

The NAME macro generates NULL unless DEBUG is defined when the DirectShow headers are included.

Requirements

DirectShow applications and DirectShow filters have different include file and link library requirements. See Setting Up the Build Environment for more information.

OS Versions: Windows CE 2.12 and later. Version 2.12 requires DXPAK 1.0 or later.
