Building an SDK

Before you can build the SDK, you must configure the SDK using the Export SDK Wizard. For information about configuring the SDK, see Exporting an SDK.

To build an SDK

  1. If you have modified your platform since configuring the SDK, to regenerate the platform header files for your platform, from the Build menu, choose Generate Platform Headers.

    -or-

    From the Build menu, choose Build Platform.

    In addition to creating the run-time image for your platform, this creates the platform header files for your platform.

  2. From the Platform menu, choose Build SDK.

    If a Warning dialog box appears, read the warning, and then choose OK. The Export SDK Wizard displays the location of the .msi file for the SDK and information about the build process. For future reference, note the location of the .msi file.

  3. After the build completes, choose Done.
