Poznámky

Pomocí této metody můžete určit stáří objektu a pak tyto informace použít s metodou Collect k vynucení uvolňování paměti shromažďovat objekty ve stejné generaci. Tuto metodu použijte například v případě, že máte sadu objektů, které jsou vytvořeny jako skupina a které jsou současně nedostupné.

Počínaje verzí .NET 8 se tato metoda může vrátit MaxValue pro objekty přidělené na jiných než GC. Další informace najdete v tématu GC. GetGeneration může vrátit Int32.MaxValue.
