Hi Phil,
We're using the Ricoh v4 UPD to print to their MFD's.
No we weren't even able to print, we rolled back the update for a day (thankfully easy to do on VDI) while we implemented a workaround (setting up local print queue's as this still works).

Type 4 Printer Driver Extension: No longer working since October 2022 Cumulative Updates: KB5018418 (Windows 11) and/or KB5018410
We've been using a Type 4 printer driver and Printer Driver extension successfully for quite some time on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines
Since October 2022 Cumulative Updates: KB5018418 (Windows 11) and/or KB5018410 (Windows 10), invoking printing preferences no longer uses the printer extension.
Uninstalling the updates resolves the issue and restores the desired behavior. Has anybody else experienced this?

2022-12-05T22:26:07.07+00:00 None of the printer v4 drivers dont work. Its Microsoft Print to PDF, redirected printers, local printers, Foxit PDF, XPS, Print to Onenote....V3 version drivers works normally. Windows server 2022, terminalserver, happened after an update. I think it was KB5018485. I have tried everything... Checked registry, file/catalogue rights, uninstall updates, dism for uninstall PDF and install again, delete PDF driver, you name it, i'll think I have tried it. When I tries to add a new for example Microsoft print to PDF, the driver dont even show... The printer status is not connected.
Error messages:
From Notepad - A StartDocPrinterCall was not issued
From Excel- Your file could not be printed due to to an error on Microsoft print to PDF on E00
From word - Word cant print due to a problem with the printer setupIn all cases the File Save as dialogue appears and the error message comes directly after that.
Most of the work we do has a work around for the problem but its still very problematic. If anyone have solved this problem I will buy him/her a lots of drinks!!!
Best Regards
Stefan

2023-07-26T15:35:42.2766667+00:00 Also maintaining V4 printer driver. Microsoft has been no help on this issue. Testing shows that V4 driver works if built without a contraints.js file (for custom print ticket properties). So, suspect some security issue with the javascript files. Has anyone seen anything like this?

2023-10-16T16:32:32.2466667+00:00 I'm have an issue with secure printing to my Ricoh IM2500 and IMC3000 printers on a V4 driver. Loaded V3 driver on my drivers and installed the printer with the V3 driver and BOOM works! Everything else works perfectly.
Secure print work like +-3 weeks ago, so I'm leaning to Windows update maybe. Nothing else changed
