This happens when I'm logged on to my PC as my non-administrator account but open a reporting utility, Hyena from Systemtools in my case, as my domain admin account and then export report data while the option to immediately open the file using Excel is selected. The Excel file opens but is immediately followed by a pop-up that says Excel is de-activated. So, Excel opened under the context of a different user profile and the licensing service immediately required proof of license from the admin account, which is not logged on to the PC. This may be why the currently logged-on user cannot see the next interactive pop-up. This all happened prior to saving the file locally. My workaround is to avoid having the report immediately open so that the account I'm logged in with, which is a local admin, can apply the necessary security permissions prior to the file opening. Hope that helps!
Can't interact with Excel because of hidden dialog box.

Hidden dialog box keeps Excel from operating properly. I've tried alt-tabbing the dialog does not show up. When I try to shut Excel down using the task manager since close it normaly I get a dialog box stating "You cannot close Microsft Exel because a dialog box is open. Click OK, switch to Microsoft Excel, and then close the dialog box." Which doesn't work Screenshot 2023-01-15 110547.png
