For me, it worked to just disable "discover" in my Microsoft edge sidebar settings. You do need to disable the entire sidebar for this though, which some people may not want to do.

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I updated Edge to 112.0.1722.34, and ever since then whenever I open Edge, the startup page is briefly displayed and then the following URL is executed and never stops: https://edgeservices.bing.com/edgesvc/shell?lightschemeovr=1&FORM=SHORUN&udscs=1&udsnav=1&setlang=en-US&clientscopes=noheader,coauthor,chat,docvisibility,visibilitypm,&udsframed=1&adlt=strict If I log into another user on the same laptop, Edge opens correctly. How can I get Edge to not execute the above command? I'm running on Windows 10 Home 22H2 and Windows update is current.

What I did was I just kept the tab open somewhere else and it never popped back up again. Make sure not to close that tab and you should be fine. Not the best solution as it doesn't actually solve the issue
ok, so the problem, my problem, EDGE appears in ten task bar as a small vignette, When I click to enlarge, nothing happens, as it stays small. MSFT cant answer, rather they wont, and very likely, they dont have the ppl skills employed to resolve the issue. MSFT needs to invest in a help desk-human interface. MSFT knows problems exist, yet once its out the door is a big finger,
