Hi

I have windows server 2016 with 100 network printers, in the last week printspooler service crashed a 3-4 time per day.

EventViewer show about 7031 and 7034 ID

I have been tried to check here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue, and i have seen that reports show about PnPDriverImportError

Here the log:

If the print spooler doesn't work you can't access printer properties and there's nothing in Print Management to even look at, none of this helps.

I started having this happen too and we have some Konica Printers connected to our 2019 server. I just changed the port from LPR to RAW but left SNMP enabled and will monitor to see if that stops the spooler from crashing. If not I'll uncheck SNMP.

No luck with keeping SNMP enabled but switching the protocol to RAW as the spooler crashed again last night. Will updating the print driver or is there a specific KB to fix this? It seems to have started on October 7th, 2022
