I have Register for Azure 30 days Free Subscription, my subscription is working fine. I am self-learning AZ-104 and having trouble following AZ-104: Manage identities and governance in Azure >>> Configure user and group accounts>>> Unit 7>>Intractive Lab Simulation >> Task 2
Issue Is: While trying to get Entra ID P2 free trial from Azure portal, its redirecting to signup page which is not accepting my current email address which is associated with Azure Free Subscription.
Expected behavior: Entra ID P2 Free Trail License should be added to Azure Subscription as per the Intractive Lab.
I have already followed same instruction to get Entra ID P2 free trial, however i tried again and sharing screenshots. when i click on Activate Free trial from Azure Portal its open new browser tab and redirecting me to different page. On that page I am getting message "Enter your work or school email address, we'll check if you need to create a new account for Microsoft Entra ID P2 Trial." I have already registered my Azure Free Subscription from my personal email, after entering same email and going for next steps there i am receiving message "need to create new account".
So, it means I can't get Entra ID P2 free trial license with my personal email address. I should be using work or school email address. is this true statement?
I am attaching few screenshots for understanding.
Its asking to register new domain, I can't use my default domain which I am using in Azure portal.

I notice in Entra Admin Center my tenant has Microsoft Entra ID Free License. So now my question is how to change this license type from Entra ID Free to Entra ID P2 Free?

In order to access Microsoft Entra Id P2 license.we need to create a new account (personal email/school/work). For azure free subscriptions Microsoft Entra ID Free license is attached to the default directory under a Tenant ID. As your using free trial subscription, we cannot upgrade Microsoft Entra ID Free license to Microsoft Entra Id P2 license.
Microsoft Entra ID P2 free trail are limited to one free trial per tenant, if you have already activated the Microsoft Entra ID P2 free trial in past it will not allow you activate again.
To get the access to your work email contact your IT department or administrator. They may need to grant you the necessary permissions.

If you use Interactive Lab simulations, it's not possible to add license plans. You have to use the pre-configuration.

For your query I have understand you're facing an issue with activating your Microsoft Entra ID P2 free trial version from the email which you received.
To activate free trial of Microsoft Entra ID P2 you need an active Azure Subscription, if you don't have the one, you can create from here.
After successful registration follow the below steps to activate a free trial of Microsoft Entra ID P2.
To start Azure AD P1/P2 free trial, you can follow below steps:
Go to Azure Portal -> Azure Active Directory -> Licenses -> Overview -> Get a free trial
After selecting Get a free trial, click on Activate as below:
When I selected Activate, Azure AD Premium P2 license activated successfully as below:

Hello AmaranS,
When clicking the Activate free trial, it redirects me to a page that asks me to put in my work or school email address - when I put in the address I used to create the Azure Free account, it says the account is not recognised, create a new one.
You said "if you have already activated the Microsoft Entra ID P2 free trial in past it will not allow you activate again.". I have used a free MS365 + Entra ID P2 account for my MS-900 studies. Is this the reason why I cannot use my Azure Free account to activate the Entra ID P2 trial?
The MS-900 account was created using another email address, the only thing that is the same is the Credit Card details. Is this whats stopping me from creating a free P2 trial, tied to my free Azure account.

I am experiencing the same issue. What is point of creating a new email account, when you created a new account to set up your original domain? Now to access the free trial p2 license you have to create a another new account? I

What a piece of junk, I'm a student, I don't have a credit card, and you don't accept my prepaid card, so how am I supposed to learn this? Annoying, it makes me not want the certificate at all.
