After introduce 2016 active directory domain controller on 2008 r2 Active directory environment, can we upgrade the Sysvol folder FRS to DFS

Hi Team,

I have installed and configured the Active directory 2016 domain controller on Active directory 2008 r2 environment. Sysvol folder replication is not working. So Can i upgrade the Sysvol folder FRS to DFS or need to uninstall the Active directory 2016 and Upgrade Sysvol folder.

    Hi Team,

    I have demote the domain controller 2016 and updated the Sysvol folder from FRS to DFS.

    Then configured additional domain controller 2016. now everything working fine.

    Hi,
    The migration for FRS to DFS can be done only when the DCs are health and the ad replication ,sysvol replication are good, or the migration will cause more unexpected errors.
    If the ad replication is good, only the sysvol replication is needed , then you consider the method "D2" in the link Thameur provided to fix the problem.
