In MS Teams for linux, microphone stopped working

I installed MS Teams for Linux on Ubuntu 20.04 a few weeks ago. It worked perfectly well, until earlier this week, the microphone stopped working. I have a mic in my headset, and a mic in the Logitech camera, both work ok for all applications, except with Teams. When I use the mic, I see the record sound meter in Ubuntu sound record it, but the Teams sound meter in "settings" doesn't.
What can I do?

edit:

This morning, audio worked on MS Teams. But when the meeting actually started, a popup appeared saying "your microphone does not work" and it stopped working. It must be a bug in MS Teams, otherwise it couldn't have worked for the first 5 minutes.

I'm having this problem, too, and I've had it for about half a year.

The volume adjustment seems to work, but frankly there's always a new solution. It can be anything from adjusting the volume to restarting the computer to making sure not to run Citrix at the same time or any combination of them.

The list of inputs and outputs is sometimes entirely empty as well for no apparent reason. The list of inputs and outputs also does not update if I plug in or plug out an extra microphone or headset.

The Teams Linux client is outrageously bad... :/ I really appreciate the effort, but there's got to be some more effort put in here. These errors are common and easy to reproduce.

Pop!_OS 20.04, Ryzen 5900X, RØDE microphone, Logitech webcam microphone, Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless, a friggin' Valve Index headset microphone - you name it. The microphone doesn't matter.

same problem here. the pulseaudio/adjust volume "fix" worked for some time, but it does not work for the actual version. Microphone is active for like 1 or 2 mintues in a call, then stops working. even muting/unmuting does not help. Also, the mic gain indicator in the teams app is frozen. Seems to me like a software bug.

would be really nice of microsoft to at least aknowledge the problem and work on a solution.

Web app is not really a solution, because It does not show video from all participants when in group call.

Same problem in openSuse 15.2. No such issue when using other conferencing software like zoom or google meet.
There is nothing wrong with the microphone, it appears to be specific to Teams in Linux.

Call starts ok and then devolves into a trainwreck.

Using version 1.4.00.13653 on Ubuntu 20.04 and the microphone issues are a disaster. Standard pulse audio install. Basically I will sound like I'm underwater (from what other callers tell me) unless I put my mouth basically over the microphone. As other posters have stated, messing with the mic volume from the system tray settings (using KDE) sometimes temporarily resolves the issue but usually not for long. I have the "Automatically adjust mic sensitivity" setting turned OFF in the device settings as that makes the mic totally unusable...

Come on MS, stop treating Teams for Linux like a second class citizen... I just had to use Teams on a macbook the other week and it worked flawlessly and had a bunch of changes/features the linux version does not have (and may never have).
