Hello.

I have a parameter in Redirections.xml:

<Exclude Copy="0">AppData\LocalLow</Exclude>

I'm looking at the user profile and I see that the folder weighs a lot:

  • Q: Why is the folder not cleared ? Or should I specify the direct path to the folder ? Doesn't recursion work here ?

UPD: I see a problem with other folders as well. Some are cleared, some are not.

    Hello @Андрей Михалевский ,

    Thanks for your query.

1.Did you try to specify the direct path to the folder such as: <Exclude Copy=”0″>AppData\LocalLow\Adobe</Exclude>?
2.By default the profile container VHD will contain the entire Windows profile for the user, except for:
    The TEMP (TMP) folder location
    The IE Cache folder location
    Profile Container content : https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/fslogix/manage-profile-content-cncpt
Using Redirections.xml to configure what to copy to a profile with FSLogix : https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/029e130e-5892-4d1f-88a7-f8046d78f3b0/using-redirectionsxml-to-configure-what-to-copy-to-a-profile-with-fslogix?forum=FSLogix

    Best regards,
    Leila

For some reason I do not see these files on the server in the user profile. But if I open virtual disk of user profile with some program that shows disk space occupied, I see additional files. And the problem is that the disk is not compressed less than the disk size any program shows me. So these files stay somewhere in the disk itself but in the profile it's not really there. I thought maybe they were deleted sectors, but applying this script: https://github.com/T13nn3s/Resize-UserProfileDisk with the -ZeroFreeSpace switch had no success.

    Hello @Андрей Михалевский ,

    Thanks for your response.

We need to check the FSLogix log file to see if the exclusion works as expected: %ProgramData%\FSLogix\Logs.
Maybe you're also using another host pool with the same profile where the exclusions doesn’t apply or you use office container which also don’t work with exclusions.

I checked, FSLogix works correctly. But in the profile there are some obscure files, which are not visible in the system, but can be seen by third-party programs. Because of this, the disk is not compressed properly.

I turn on show hidden folders.

    1. I enter the user's active profile:

    2. I ask to end the user's session. I open his profile with TreeSize Free, also give myself full rights to all folders.

Where in the profile are these files, why are they not deleted? Are these some hidden system files?
