Is it okay to reserve an IP outside DHCP scope on Server 2019?

I have DHCP running on Server 2019. I would like to reserve some IPs outside the scope range. For example, Scope range is 192.168.5.100 to 192.168.5.200. I want to reserve 192.168.5.70 thru .99 to certain devices. I tried it with my device and it is working. I'm just curious if it is okay to do this.

I worked on this some more. The error occurs when I delete an existing reservation... before I add the new one. It doesn't matter which member of the failover I delete from. It happens at this time only. I didn't want to de-configure the scope and risk not being able to re-configure it. I'll probably leave it as is unless it gets worse or there is something else I can try.

Thanks. The errors happened when I reserved new IPs for some clients and then replicated the scope from the partner failover DHCP server to the main DHCP server. They haven't happened since. I'll see if I get more the next time I change the reservation on the next bunch of clients. Next time I'll replicate from the main DHCP server in the failover to the partner. I'll post back.
