I have successfully restored Authenticator to a new phone. All the accounts are working except for the five Microsoft 365 work accounts that I use.
They all tell me, "Action required. Scan the QR code provided by your organization to finish recovering this account".
When I log into My Account (myaccount.microsoft.com), I can't find anywhere where a QR code is displayed.
Where do I find the QR codes that Authenticator is looking for?

I cannot login as it requires code from microsoft authenticator which didn't save my work account data when backing up data and now I am stuck in a loop!! trying to add the work account again in the authenticator asks me for code from the authenticator!! ironic right!
this error appears on all my working accounts in the authenticator:
"for more info about qr codes and how to get one, see get started with the authenticator app or set up security info to use an authenticator app, based on whether your admin has turned on security info."
can anyone helpme?

If It Works Please Tell Me
Hahaha. Two years later. New phone. Same unhelpful error message when I restore Microsoft Authenticator, and my Bing search brought me back to my own post from two years ago.
At least this time I can follow the steps to solve the problem. But now I have 12 Microsoft work and personal accounts to restore. So the next couple of hours are going to be a tedious set of authentication steps.
