Windows Server Datacenter 2022 CSP Perpetual Key hat ein Limit (AVMA ist keine Option)

Hi,

Our partner has purchased Windows Server Datacenter 2022 for their customer under as a CSP Perpetual Subscription and would like to install this under VMware as a hypervisor in the VMs. He has included an unlimited number of VMs according to the terms. However, the MAK key is limited to 6 and AVMA is not supported for VMware. Therefore the question, how does the partner get the limit increased. VLSC hotline can't help here and unfortunately there is no feedback on support tickets.

    Might have to revert to phone activation and ask for limit to be raised, but rather than fight this it may be better to install a DataCenter host, then you can also take advantage of having unlimited guest machines ranging from 2012 R2 up to 2022

    However, the activation hotline says they can' t help and installing Datacenter on the host is not an option because the customer is using VMware as the hypervisor as mentioned. Can you provide me with a phone number where the activation, or upgrade of the key will work. The customer is already very upset and we need a solution.

    This number used to work 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4)

    Ok, well then you know probably better than most that these days contacting microsoft is a next to impossible feat. The better solution here is to install a DataCenter host and move on.

    The key is not the license. As long as the MAK continues to activate installations, the license is fine.
