Note

This reference is part of the scvmm extension for the Azure CLI (version 2.15.0 or higher). The extension will automatically install the first time you run an az scvmm cloud command. Learn more about extensions.

Create a cloud

az scvmm cloud create --subscription contoso-sub --resource-group contoso-rg --location eastus --custom-location contoso-cl --vmmserver contoso-vmmserver --inventory-item 01234567-0123-0123-0123-0123456789ab --name contoso-cloud

Required Parameters

--custom-location

Name or ID of the custom location that will manage this resource.

--location -l

Location. Values from: az account list-locations. You can configure the default location using az configure --defaults location=<location>.

--name -n

Name of the resource.

--resource-group -g

Name of resource group. You can configure the default group using az configure --defaults group=<name>.

Optional Parameters

--inventory-item -i

Name or ID of the inventory item.

--no-wait

Do not wait for the long-running operation to finish.

Default value: False
--tags

Space-separated tags: key[=value] [key[=value] ...]. Use "" to clear existing tags.

--uuid

The ID of the resource created in the VMM.

--vmmserver -v

Name or ID of the vmmserver that is managing this resource.

Increase logging verbosity to show all debug logs.

--only-show-errors

Only show errors, suppressing warnings.

--output -o

Output format.

Delete a cloud by name

Optional Parameters

--force

Force the resource to be deleted from azure.

--ids

One or more resource IDs (space-delimited). It should be a complete resource ID containing all information of 'Resource Id' arguments. You should provide either --ids or other 'Resource Id' arguments.

--name -n

Name of the resource.

--no-wait

Do not wait for the long-running operation to finish.

Default value: False
--resource-group -g

Name of resource group. You can configure the default group using az configure --defaults group=<name>.

--subscription

Name or ID of subscription. You can configure the default subscription using az account set -s NAME_OR_ID.

--yes -y

Do not prompt for confirmation.

Default value: False

Required Parameters

--cloud-name

Name of the Cloud.

--resource-group -g

Name of resource group. You can configure the default group using az configure --defaults group=<name>.

Optional Parameters

--created

Wait until created with 'provisioningState' at 'Succeeded'.

Default value: False
--custom

Wait until the condition satisfies a custom JMESPath query. E.g. provisioningState!='InProgress', instanceView.statuses[?code=='PowerState/running'].

--deleted

Wait until deleted.

Default value: False
--exists

Wait until the resource exists.

Default value: False
--interval

Polling interval in seconds.

Default value: 30
--timeout

Maximum wait in seconds.

Default value: 3600
--updated

Wait until updated with provisioningState at 'Succeeded'.

Default value: False
