Remarks

The UserNameFailureText property contains the error message that is displayed when the user enters a user name that is not recognized by the membership provider defined in the MembershipProvider property.

The style settings in the FailureTextStyle property define the appearance of the text in the UserNameFailureText property.

When you assign a template to the UserNameTemplate property, the UserNameFailureText property is displayed in an optional Literal control with the ID property set to "FailureText".

The default text for the property is localized based on the server's locale setting.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and Globalization and Localization.
