User Profile Service administration (SharePoint Server 2010)

The User Profile Service is a shared service in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 that enables the creation and management of user profiles that can be accessed from multiple sites and farms. Administration of User Profile Service applications is much simpler in SharePoint Server 2010 and can be delegated to a service application administrator by the farm administrator.
