How to: Change Project Structure and Iterations in Microsoft Excel

You can change the project structure of your team project from Microsoft Excel. The project structure defines the number of areas a team project has, as well as the hierarchical relationship among them.

You also can change the number of iterations a team project goes through, and change the steps that make up each iteration. As the needs of the project change, you can change the project structure or iterations to meet the steps in your product life cycle.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Project Administrators group or have the Create and order child nodes, Delete this node, and Edit this node permissions set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
