How to: Change Project Structure and Iterations in Microsoft Project

You can change the project structure of your team project from Microsoft Project. The project structure defines the number of areas a team project has and the hierarchical relationship among them.

You can also change the number of iterations a team project finishes, and change the steps of particular iteration. As the needs of the project change, you can change the project structure or iterations to meet the steps in the product life cycle.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Project Administrators group or have the Create and order child nodes, Delete this node, and Edit this node permissions set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
