This technical reference provides a summary of the Windows Firewall settings you need to configure for each Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 optional component, remote administration tool, server role, and service.
Windows Firewall supports configuring its settings in two profiles: domain and standard. Only one profile is active at a time. If all of the network connections on a computer allow the computer to reach a domain controller for the domain to which it is joined, then the domain profile is used. If ANY network connection is to a network through which a domain controller cannot be reached, then the standard profile is used. For more information about profiles, see Help: Understanding Windows Firewall Profiles (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=157699).
