Le Name proprietà e CultureInfo.Name possono avere valori diversi. Ad esempio, un LCID valore di proprietà di 0x10407 esadecimale identifica impostazioni cultura di ordinamento alternative che ordinano i nomi come potrebbero essere visualizzati in una rubrica telefonica tedesca. La Name proprietà ha il valore "de-de_phoneb", mentre la CultureInfo.Name proprietà delle impostazioni cultura tedesche associate (Germania) ha il valore "de-DE".
