Il Open metodo restituisce un flusso contenente i dati trattati come file dalla VirtualPathProvider classe . Il flusso è di sola lettura ed è ricercabile (la CanSeek proprietà è true).

Note per gli implementatori

Nelle classi derivate il Open() metodo deve restituire un flusso ricercabile. Se il metodo restituisce un flusso che non supporta la ricerca, viene generato quando NotSupportedException il flusso viene passato all'oggetto HttpResponse per scrivere i dati. L'eccezione si verifica perché la risposta tenta di leggere la Length proprietà e in un flusso che non è ricercabile, tentando di accedere alla proprietà causa un'eccezione.
