Comentários

Para calcular o tamanho exato da matriz exigido por GetChars para armazenar os caracteres resultantes, chame o GetCharCount método . Para calcular o tamanho máximo da matriz, chame o GetMaxCharCount método . O GetCharCount método geralmente aloca menos memória, enquanto o GetMaxCharCount método geralmente é executado mais rapidamente.

GetMaxCharCount é um número de pior caso, incluindo o pior caso para o selecionado no momento DecoderFallback. Se um fallback for escolhido com uma cadeia de caracteres potencialmente grande, GetMaxCharCount poderá retornar valores grandes.

Na maioria dos casos, esse método retorna números razoáveis para cadeias de caracteres pequenas. Para cadeias de caracteres grandes, talvez seja necessário escolher entre usar buffers muito grandes e detectar erros no caso raro de um buffer mais razoável ser excedido. Talvez você também queira considerar uma abordagem diferente e usar GetCharCount ou Convert.

GetMaxCharCount não tem relação com GetBytes. Se você precisar de uma função semelhante para usar com GetBytes, use GetMaxByteCount.

Observação

GetMaxCharCount(N)Não é necessariamente o mesmo valor que N* GetMaxCharCount(1) .
