Comentários

A paginação permite exibir o conteúdo do DataGrid controle em segmentos de página. O número de itens em uma página é determinado pela PageSize propriedade . Se nenhum valor for especificado para a PageSize propriedade , o DataGrid controle exibirá 10 itens em uma página.

Por padrão, a paginação está desabilitada. Para habilitar a paginação, defina essa propriedade como true e forneça código para manipular o PageIndexChanged evento.

A lógica típica do PageIndexChanged evento é definir a CurrentPageIndex propriedade para o índice da página que você deseja exibir e, em seguida, usar o DataBind método para associar os dados ao DataGrid controle.

Observação

O manipulador de eventos recebe um DataGridPageChangedEventArgs objeto como um parâmetro. Você pode usar a NewPageIndex propriedade desse parâmetro para determinar o índice da página selecionada pelo usuário nos elementos de seleção de página do DataGrid controle.

Com a paginação padrão, o DataGrid controle pressupõe que a fonte de dados contém todos os itens a serem exibidos. O DataGrid controle calcula os índices dos itens na página exibida com base no índice de página, especificado pela CurrentPageIndex propriedade e no número de itens de itens em uma página, especificado pela PageSize propriedade .

Normalmente, uma fonte de dados que contém todos os itens a serem exibidos é carregada sempre que o DataGrid controle é paginado. Isso pode consumir muitos recursos quando a fonte de dados é muito grande. A paginação personalizada permite carregar apenas o segmento de dados necessários para exibir uma única página.
