Hello,

I'm trying to create a E5 Subscription but when I get to phone verification step for the last 2 weeks or so.
I get an error while trying to send the code to my phone number:

We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:
Your phone number did not pass security checks.

I've been using this phone number for over 20 years.
Tried also the phone of my wife and other phone numbers

The exact error message:
We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:

Your phone number did not pass security checks.
MS-CorrelationID: dd0ee92c-5d52-4c35-9d3b-12e3dedb2bb9

Code: 40341

Please help!

When you say "create a E5 Subscription", do you mean a developer subscription using the Microsoft 365 Developer Program or do you mean a paid Microsoft 365 subscription?

Yes, i mean "Developer subscription using Microsoft 365Dveveloper program. The error am getting is that my phone number does not pass security check because my country's code (+234) is not accepted.

At this point what do i do because the program has started and i need to catch up.

For me it was my internet connection. I was using a 4g hotspot and mobile and it would not work on either. I finally tried at a friend's house an a traditional internet service and it worked first try. It has nothing to do with the actualphone number.

Same issue here in France, impossible to pass the phone verification step when trying to get access to the Microsoft 365 Developer Program. Complete error message : We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason: Your phone number did not pass security checks. Here an answer says use a different phone number. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/developer-account-phone-validation-issue-with/ff9fefd1-5f5b-476f-95e2-7f4b98eddd47 But I don't think Microsoft intends to provide the learn opportunity only for people with several phone numbers, no business rational in that. This needs a fix I assume.

Finally I used another account and phone number (already used before when it went wrong) that solved my case

Microsoft you need to fix this!

I've tried three different phone numbers today, and all give the same "Your phone number did not pass security checks. -- Code: 40321" error. I'm also 100% sure one of the numbers I've tried has never been associated with any Microsoft accounts (I've had the number 10+ years and it's never been used with SMS messages, only with mobile data).

I tried with multiple phone numbers and they did not work. I then try to use newly created Outlook mail accounts and they also didn't work. Funny thing is that when I use the same phone number to validate my Outlook account, it works but not for the developer program. Then I tried to use a brand-new SIM purchased just for this purpose and a brand-new Outlook email account and guess what? It didn't work.

That's why I don't like Microsoft!
Why Microsoft blocks our phone Numbers?? I can't do any experiment with intune!

So I use my time now to improuve my skills in LINUX or CISCO. It doesn't even worth to waste time on asking soemthing about Microsoft!

Someone answer the question please! I was on phone with Microsoft for 2 days and transferred 8 times, in the end the phone disconnected. They don't appear to know either.
